Privacy Policy

1. What we collect

• Identity: name, phone number, email address, vehicle registration number (optional).
• Location: approximate location at the time you search for a charger (to show you nearby stations), and the location of the charger you select.
• Payment: UPI handle or UPI OTM mandate reference. We do not store your card number, CVV, or bank password — those stay with PayU and your bank.
• Charging session telemetry: charger ID, plug-in time, unplug time, energy delivered (kWh), tariff applied, fault codes, OCPP messages.
• Device/log: IP address, browser type, app version, timestamps. Used only for fraud prevention and security.

2. Why we collect it

• To deliver the charging service and bill you correctly.
• To send you a receipt and respond to support questions.
• To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and abandoned sessions.
• To meet legal and tax record-keeping obligations.

3. How we share it

• PayU Payments Private Limited (RBI-licensed payment aggregator) for processing your UPI OTM mandate and capture.
• Charge-point operators whose chargers you use, only to authorise and meter your session.
• Authorities when required by Indian law (court order, tax authority, etc.).
• We never sell your data and never share it with advertisers.

4. How we store it

• Encrypted in transit (TLS 1.2+) and at rest. Servers hosted in India.
• We retain records for the minimum required by Indian law — typically 8 years for billing records, 2 years for session telemetry.
• On request, we delete personal data we are not legally required to retain.

5. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, or delete your data; withdraw consent; and complain to the Data Protection Board of India. Contact our Grievance Officer (below) and we will respond within 30 days as required by the DPDP Act.
