1. How payment works
When you tap "Start charging", your bank places a hold (called a "mandate block") for up to the maximum session value shown on the screen (typically ₹500). No money leaves your bank account at this point. After the session ends, easy.EVplug instructs your bank to debit only the actual energy delivered × the tariff. Your bank releases the rest of the block automatically within 24 hours.
2. Successful session — actual amount only
3. Session that never started
If the charger fails to start a session within 60 seconds of authorisation (e.g., the connector did not lock, or the vehicle rejected the supply), the mandate is cancelled immediately and ₹0 is debited.
4. Session interrupted mid-charge by the charger or grid
You are billed for the actual energy delivered up to the moment of interruption. The remaining block is released within 24 hours.
5. Session you stop yourself
You are billed for the actual energy delivered up to your stop. The remaining block is released.
6. Hardware fault / no energy delivered
If easy.EVplug systems confirm that no energy was delivered, we reverse any debit within 3 working days. No further action is needed from you.
7. Disputes
If you believe a charge is wrong, email support@easyevplug.com with your session ID and the date. We respond within 24 working hours and resolve verified disputes within 7 working days.
8. No "wallet" model
easy.EVplug does not maintain a customer wallet or pre-loaded balance. This is deliberate — there is nothing to refund and nothing to be locked.
9. Statutory rights
This policy is in addition to your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.
